Florida athletes shine on national stage at one of the toughest tournaments in the country!

This past week, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the country was held at Walsh Jesuit High School in Ohio, THE IRONMAN! Known for hosting future legends, history makers, and trailblazers of the sport, this tournament is as tough as they come!

Our Florida athletes stepped onto this stage and did not disappoint! The Sunshine State came away with 11 placers and 2 champions!

🏅 Girls Champions:

  • Abigail Gonzales (Miami Southridge) – Champion 🏆

  • Isabella McFarlane (King High School) – Champion 🏆

Both went into the tournament unseeded and came out with titles, a huge statement for Florida wrestling and Florida girls wrestling, proving we have some of the best athletes not only in the state but in the country 🇺🇸

  • Jovani Tovar (Miami Southridge) – Runner Up 🥈

  • Willow White (South Dade) – Runner Up 🥈

  • Tyler Dekraker (Lake Highland Prep) – Runner Up 🥈

  • Zeno Moore (Lake Highland Prep) – 3rd Place 🥉

  • Lucas Boe (Lake Highland Prep) – 5th Place

  • Shamari Smith (South Dade) – 6th Place

  • Liam Davis (Lake Highland Prep) – 7th Place
